CDI Named “Best Not-for-Profit Organisation” at South Dublin County Business Awards

In a night filled with anticipation and excitement, the Childhood Development Initiative (CDI) proudly accepted the “Best Not-for-Profit Organisation” award at the South Dublin County Business Awards, an esteemed event hosted by the South Dublin Chamber. The gala awards presentation evening took place on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght.

Committed to Community: CDI’s Award-Winning Achievements

This accolade is a testament to CDI’s unwavering commitment to the community and its exceptional work in Restorative Practices (RP).
The award ceremony, hosted by the renowned Marty Whelan from RTE, welcomed over three hundred esteemed guests and was undoubtedly one of the most memorable events of the year in South Dublin County.

Mairead Fleming, President, and Peter Byrne, CEO of South Dublin Chamber, warmly congratulated CDI for being shortlisted as a finalist in the “Best Not-for-Profit” category, generously sponsored by AWS.

Awards Reflecting Excellence in Restorative Practices

This award recognised CDI’s exceptional achievements in Restorative Practices training and support. Claire Casey, CDI’s dedicated Restorative Practices Manager, expressed her gratitude during the acceptance speech. She commended the unwavering support of CDI’s board, staff, and RP trainers nationwide and especially acknowledged the enthusiastic Restorative Practices Coordinator, George Best, for his contributions.

In her speech, Claire Casey mentioned, “We are thrilled to have our efforts acknowledged with the ‘Best Not-for-Profit Organisation’ award. Restorative Practices (RP) is an evidence-based approach for improving staff and customer relationships and reducing organisational conflicts. This recognition reflects our entire CDI team’s dedication and hard work, from our board to our team of 19 excellent RP Quality Specialists nationwide.”
