Course Objectives:

  • This Course will provide Participants with the skills and materials to deliver training in the use of RP in Schools to their peers and colleagues in their own or other schools.
  • Participants will learn how to implement RP as a whole-school approach to school self-evaluation and school improvement.
  • Participants will gain the skills and expertise for embedding RP as “business as usual” in schools.
  • The course will include learning for participants about Quality Assurance of the use of RP in a school.
  • Participants will be provided with a full list of references and the resources they will need for the delivery of RP training in schools.

Entry Requirements:

Participants in this Course are required to:

  • Have undertaken CDI’s training in Restorative Practices i.e. “Getting Started With RP” and “RP Facilitation Skills” OR RP Skills for Positive Classroom and Schools Norms (Summer Course);
  • Have experience of using restorative practices in school settings;
  • Have organised to deliver RP Training in a school setting between September and December 2019 at which they will be observed by a CDI Trainer; and
  • Attend four 2 hour Communities of Practice with fellow participants between September 2019 and January 2020.

In addition, participants will be issued with reading material before and during the course that they will be required to read.

The Course Fee is €650 which must be paid on or by the 28th of June 2019.  This Course will be delivered by a team of RP Trainers with extensive experience of implementing RP in their lives and in work settings and of delivering RP training to a variety of target groups.
