Our Approach to Web DesignWe use a tried and tested approach to each of our web design projects so you can rest assured you will receive the highest quality of service. Stage 1: ConsultationA meeting is conducted, during which, the client learns more about the benefits of owning a website and receives detailed information about the development time scale, site re-designs, website add-ons, web marketing, and the other services Cope Design provides. It is at this stage that the client supplies details of his/her design preferences (i.e. colours, images, typefaces, etc.). A member of our staff will advise you on the scale the website will take and the price range involved. For more information on the costs involved, please read Cope Design's pricing structure. Stage 2: Budget PlanningAfter client consultation, Cope Design's design team will plan out a structure for the website within the budget guidelines set out by the client, with the aid of a flowchart. This usually consists of partitioning the site into a set number of sections, which has been decided with the client in advance. Stage 3: Concept DesignCope Design's design team brainstorms to develop an underlying theme for the graphical interface to follow. This varies from client to client, as the concept is dependent on the genre of website being created. Stage 4: Interface DesignThe website has reached its production stage. The client may be presented with several designs (or only one if he/she is happy with the initial output); within which he/she may specify further alterations until he/she is satisfied with the output. The design and development period is of a 14-day duration, during which, an unlimited number of re-designs may be instructed by the client at no added cost. Stage 5: Back-End ProgrammingThis is an optional stage, but a stage that most clients avail of nonetheless. Back End Programming consists of programming a website so that it is capable of passing information to and from a server. For example, a client may desire a contact / enquiry form, which must be configured so that a message can be passed through a server, which subsequently e-mails the message to the client instantaneously. Other dependents of Back End Programming include bulletin boards, voting polls and newsboards. Stage 6: Site Testing & LaunchThe website is approaching completion and is tested on several platforms and browsers to ensure that it runs smoothly everywhere. When the website passes the testing phase, it is then presented for the approval of the client to go 'live'. |
